Ociekający słodyczą arytkuł o tym jak cudowną parą są państwo Cabuli:
Marriage of tenderness
There hasn't been a single irritable day in Tarja Turunen's and Marcelo Cabuli's relationship.
Candle light, Ave Maria that's playing from a cd and the presence of the song's performer sensitize the atmosphere of the photography studio.
Tarja Turunen tells that she'll again fly to Buenos Aires for this Christmas. Cold wind and darkness wait outside today.
- I could only laugh on last friday when we came to Helsinki-Vantaa (airport) and Marcelo enthused about the weather, Tarja, who is traveling between Finland and Argentina, tells.
She finds light on the darkest time of year from the people close to her and performing.
- I'm a really spritual person - I believe in exchanging energy. My feeling always changes when I get on stage. Nervousness and stress disappear.
Also the relationship with Marcelo Cabuli is blooming. There hasn't been one single irritable day in the six and a half year long relationship, Tarja tells seriously.
- The days always begin happily, because we reserve every morning a half an hour to cuddle and wake up together. We both need a lot of adjacency.
She and Marcelo can also thank eachother with words.
- You can never take the other person for granted, Tarja reminds.
She knows that their relationship isn't totally normal. She and Marcelo are married and also work together and that means being together exceptionally intensively.
- We still aren't lurking on eachother's heels, but I have my own stuff and Marcelo has his footboll and other stuff.
There are no fights in the family.
- I'm a garrulous person, but you can't fight with Marcelo - or the fight is over in seconds. Marcelo is much more quite and calmer than me.
Tarja's
best friends
live in Kuusankoski, where the couple's Finland home is located. The friends have very different lives. Only two of Turunen's closest friends work with music: one is a teacher the other a cantor. When at home Tarja invites a group of friends to visit.
- I cook and fuss a bit for the others, Tarja explains.
She, an emotional person, often feels yearning.
- I've always missed my family while on tour, and me and my brothers have become even closer. We call to eachother daily.
Tarja will spend this Christmas with Marcelo and his aged parents.
- This will be my first Christmas abroad. The fact that both my brothers are coming to spend New Year with us eases the bittersweet of spending Christmas.
The Christmas consert tour begins today from Helsinki's Kulttuuritalo and ends in Moscow two days before Christmas eve. The Christmas album just sold gold. The professional projects happening now were decided three years ago.
Tarja didn't want to change the consert tour after being fired from Nightwish.
- I was asked to perform for example in South-America and France, but I wanted to perform only in St. Petersburg and Moscow besides Finland.
Next year her schedules will be shaped according to her solo album. A contract with German Universal will guarantee a world-wide distribution.
- There's adventure in the air. I want the end product to be a portrait of my soul. It would be a terrible disappointment if I wouldn't meet my goals.
Tarja is also intrested in writing lyrics.
- I'm headed there in a small way. I won't take great leaps on the first album.
Job offers have already came for the year 2010. The world tour following the album will take place in 2008 and 2009.
After the Christams tours Tarja will slow the pace for a month. She'll be on vacation the whole time her brothers Timo, 36 and Toni 24 will spend in Argentina.
- We will sunbathe and Marcelo will cook food for the whole group, Tarja plans.
Her brothers are coming to South-America for the first time. Last year Tarja's father visited Tarja and Marcelo.
The couples home in Buenos Aires is 'quite Finnish'.
- We have a lot of Marimekko's patterns and wood, which is rare in Argentinean decor, Tarja tells.
Standard of living discrepancy wait outside the home.
- You never get used to that. There are hundreds of slums and you feel like you can do only very small things. For example the last time we came from the airport we parked in a slum and brought souvenirs, Turunen tells.
It's evening already when this photoshoot ends. Even though the past days have gone by promoting the new album, a polite Tarja leaves the studio and thanks with a hug. Anything but a diva.
